Areas of Altea we cover
The whole municipality, from the water to the top of the hill. We do not build a separate page for every urbanisation: the work is the same, it is only the access that changes.

The old town
Stepped, pedestrian-only streets around the church square. Vehicles stop at the edge, so tools come up on foot. Doors are often original timber with older locks that need patience rather than force.

Altea seafront and town centre
Apartment blocks along the promenade and the streets behind it. Communal entrances, letterbox keys and flat doors that close on the latch when the sea breeze catches them.

La Olla and Cap Negret
Low-rise blocks and houses close to the water. Salt in the air is hard on cylinders and handles; stiff keys here are usually corrosion rather than a broken lock.

Altea Hills and Sierra de Altea
Hillside villas on gated urbanisations, many of them second homes. Large glazed doors with multipoint mechanisms, plus gates and pedestrian entrances that have their own locks.

Mascarat and the marina
Apartments and villas at the Calpe end of the municipality, along with berth-holders who keep a flat nearby. Access roads are narrow and arrivals need clear directions.

Altea la Vella
The inland village and the houses around it. Older village properties with traditional doors, alongside newer villas on the slopes.

Urbanisations inland of the N-332
Detached houses and small communities spread over the hillside. Postcodes overlap, so a pin dropped on WhatsApp saves more time than an address.

Apartments and holiday lets at the southern edge of the coverage area.

Reached through the Mascarat pass at the northern edge.

What changes from one part of Altea to another
In the old town, access. The streets above the church are steps, so tools come up on foot and the first question is which square to park by.
Near the water, corrosion. Salt gets into cylinders, patio door mechanisms and key safes, and a stiff key in La Olla is usually a chemistry problem rather than a mechanical one.
Up the hill, scale. A villa can have a gate, a pedestrian door, a garage and four terrace doors, and a lockout can involve any of them.
Getting to you
We work as a mobile service: there is no shop to visit, and everything arrives in the van. Arrival time depends on where the technician is and where you are, and you will be given a realistic window rather than a number designed to make you wait.
